Update on 5 galgos rescued from the well

Update on 5 galgos rescued from the well

The two males are progressing.  They are now in the only available quarantine kennel at Scooby.  They are very affectionate with people.  One brindle bitch has spent the whole afternoon walking in the open air at the Scooby shelter, following the workers around. She has been looking for hugs she never had before.   She has been putting her head in hands of the workers looking for love.  Quite amazing, considering that when the alleged owner came to the shelter and recognised the dogs, they did not even look at him.  The black and white bitch is still on fluids and is eating well.  Her wounds are being cleaned and seem to be healing well.  She is gaining weight quite quickly.  The other brindle bitch is not strong enough to stand but she is aware she is being taken care of because when she is resting she moves her head to her carer’s hands to be caressed.  It is really very moving to see her doing that, she has started to eat tinned food and is drinking quite well.
