A greyhound event in The Last of the Summer Wine country

Regrettably cancelled due to concern about fuel shortages

Greyhound 2000 is holding a greyhound gathering on October 8th at Wilshaw Village Hall  in aid of Greyhound Compassion.

There will be a fun dog show.  All greyhound types (i.e. whippet, lurcher, saluki etc.) are eligible as are other companion dogs.

The event will take place from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.

There will be homemade refreshments (from first-hand tasting experience, they come highly recommended!) and stalls.

Wilshaw Village Hall is in an attractive rural setting in West Yorkshire, surrounded by the wild gritstone moors which are so typical of the scenery in this region and made famous by the BBC TV series "The Last of the Summer Wine".  Closest towns are Holmfirth and Huddersfield.  "The Last of the Summer Wine" is set in Holmfirth.  You can have a cream tea in "Sid’s Café" and photograph "Nora’s Steps"

Feel free to come along and meet other owners with their dogs and enjoy comparing notes with each other.

Wilshaw Village Hall is on the B6107 between Holmfirth and Meltham.
