Galgo bitch rescued with 5 puppies

This galgo bitch was rescued on 24 September  by Scooby from a Spanish village called Cuellar.  She had given birth to 5 puppies in the street. At first, she was very aggressive in order to protect her puppies.  She is very skinny and her teeth are in a horrible condition. While in Cuellar, the rescuers saw another very frightened galgo limping on his back leg and with a rope around his neck. The Scooby rescuer was told that somebody had tried to hang the dog and he escaped.  Now the rope is too tight, his head is swollen and his neck is bleeding.  Scooby is going to try to catch this very nervous dog.  People from Cuellar told Scooby that every year after the hunting season (January) it is easy to see hanged galgos in the forest around the village.  The President of the National Federation of Galgos has been based in Cuellar for a very long time.  Yet, the Federation denies that these atrocities are happening and claims that the coursing owners are good with their dogs.
