Jilly comes to England from Ireland

Jilly comes to England from Ireland

Greyhound Compassion supports Dungarvan Rescue.  Dungarvan is a very small organisation run by Mary Organ in County Waterford.  Greyhound Compassion recently funded the transportation of Jilly (see pic right of Jilly soon after she was rescued) and 14 other rescue cases to England from Dungarvan.  They were brought to GRWE in England because they stand a much better chance of finding loving homes in England rather than in Ireland.   All of the dogs have now been rehomed, thanks to GRWE

Jilly was found in Dublin running the streets. The people who found her contacted a friend of Mary's to know what they should do with her as they were both out working for 9 hours a day and couldn't keep her.  Mary  was asked if she could take her in and agreed, so later that day a chain of drivers brought her almost 100 miles to Dungarvan and she arrived around 11pm that night.  Her picture tells it all. It turned out she wasn't even a year old and was in fact a tattooed greyhound.  Although her physical condition was poor, her personality is huge and thankfully her suffering didn't affect her.  She is funny, silly and most of all nosey!
