Progress at Scooby

Scooby has embarked on the construction of an education centre.  Work has started and it is hoped that some of the international animal welfare agencies will join in the initiative.  Clearly, education is the only route towards changing the mindset of the local community and hopefully through education galgos will not be seen as a mere throwaway commodity in the future.

Thanks to Greyhound Compassion's donors and fund-raising events, Greyhound Compassion has been able to contribute to the start-up costs of the education centre.  One of the charity's supporters, a professional builder, gave up his normal work in July to start work on the centre. Many thanks to Trev!

Greyhound Compassion was able to add to this initiative and contribute to the funding of the newly employed education officer and the long-standing, hard working kennel manager.  Hats off to them!
