Irish Greyhound Handed into Scooby Shelter

Irish Greyhound Handed into Scooby Shelter

An Irish greyhound has been left at the Scooby shelter in Spain by his hunting owner.  The greyhound is a brindle male with  degenerative osteoarthritis in one foot. The tattoo is difficult to read but appears to be ZL-RQX.  Having checked in the online greyound database, his name is Roses Rasp and he is recorded as still being in Ireland.

We don't know if the greyhound originates from the Meridiana race track (which closed in Barcleona in March 2006) and it could be because he is not a big dog.  Alternatively, he may have been directly imported from Ireland for racing or coursing in Spain.  In any case, Scooby has once again found an Irish greyhound in the hands of hunters in Spain.
